Check out this creative data visualization packaged as 10 second video clip, depicting a time lapse view of the world’s 10 largest economies over 60 years, from 1970 through 2030 (projected).
Based on the projections used to create this video and the slides it’s comprised of, the United States is predicted to remain the largest economy in the world by the US Department of Agriculture. What’s interesting is how the top 3 world economies change over the 60 years covered.
Winner and Losers
Over the 60 year time period, China and India break into the top the top 10 rising to 2nd and 3rd while Spain, Russia fall out of the top 10 altogether.
Do you agree with these projections? Will India surpass Japan is as the 3rd largest world economy behind China and the US?
Time will tell but one thing is for sure, this 10 second video is a super creative use of the medium to provide a super engaging visualization of the World’s 10 largest economies over 60 years.
