Search engine optimization is the practice of designing a website (on page SEO) and obtaining links from relevant sites (off page SEO) so that a site is returned at or near the top of search engine results pages for relevant keywords or phrases.
It is highly beneficial for a site to be within the first two pages of a search results is the goal is to get referral traffic from the search engines.
